Teacher Development

What I Believe:

Teacher instruction and assessment is vital for the students to understand to be challenged throughout their time in the classroom. My goal is to teach, and Auburn has given me countless opportunities to succeed in this area. The curriculum that I have been given has challenged me to be innovative and creative in my assessments so that the students can leave my class as confident as I will feel as their teachers. The assignments shown below show this learning and teaching in its entirety.

My Projects

Teaching and Learning

Take a deeper look at my service learning in the classroom as I was to demonstrate how the interrelatedness of biological, psychological, and socio-cultural characteristics influences the education of the complete child. In completing this, I found the deep relationship between teaching and assessment of a student, and it created a more professional skill set for me as a teacher.

This Unit Plan was an integration of learning how to create, implement, and organize a 6 day lesson plan containing the importance and overall understanding and comprehension of the Civil Rights Movement. Through many long nights, this unit plan was a thorough representation of the unique and diverse learning experiences that Auburn University taught me as a student.

Comprehending and understanding what you are reading is the last level to full become a great reader. Students do struggle with this in elementary education, and Auburn University has given me the tools to resolve this problem that continuously comes up when teaching reading. Take a look!

HomeWorks was created by Auburn University in an attempt and successful effort to work further with students outside of the classroom. I designed this activity show a step by step process of a math standard in order to give students a fun and exciting way to work with math outside of the classroom.
